“Who doesn’t manage money, will be managed by money”

This old but ever-relevant saying reminds us of the critical importance of financial management, especially for those running a business. In the world of entrepreneurship, the ability to manage money often becomes the difference between success and failure. While spending is inevitable, it’s the smart management of finances that builds the foundation of a sustainable business.

This brings us to the eternal question: “Is it better to know or to have?” Perhaps the answer lies somewhere in between – knowing how to earn and manage what you have.

Flamur Iliazi, a successful immigrant in Canada, shared his journey as an entrepreneur and photographer. The pinnacle of his career was an invitation to photograph a private wedding in the Maldives, a project that not only brought considerable profits but also put him on the map of elite photographers.

Klodiana Vata, with her extraordinary voice and experience as a young immigrant in Canada, highlighted the financial challenges faced by young people. She shared the difficulties of balancing investments in education and career, emphasizing that financial management knowledge has been key to her rapid professional progress.

Nador Bakalli brought the perspective of revenue management in large businesses. He emphasized the importance of careful planning and the critical role of decision-making in this process.

Finally, Fisnik Kunjufca introduced us to the other side of the coin – that of taking risks in business. According to him, it’s often better to act quickly, especially when it comes to business opportunities, rather than wasting time over-analyzing. Because as another famous saying goes: “Money is a good servant but a bad master.”

After the presentations, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts, creating a long and informative discussion.

As always, the event concluded with an extended networking session, giving participants the chance to build valuable professional connections.
